Sport and Remedial massage is perfect for releasing tight muscles from occupation, hobbies and everyday lifestyles and stresses. It benefits anyone who is suffering from muscular pain or that may be recovering from an injury. It can also be used as a preventative measure to keep your muscles healthy, aligned, and to remove any scar tissue or adhesions from the tissues which could eventually build up causing pain and restriction.
HOW WILL SPORTS MASSAGE BENEFIT MY TRAINING?
Sports massage is great for athletes participating in any sport and at any level. Sports massage is very effective at preparing the body for performance. By incorporating massage into your training and competitive programme the deep and dynamic massage techniques will help reduce soreness, relieve tension which will help restore balance to the muscles, increase mobility at the joints, and make for faster recovery. Unfortunately sometimes injuries do occur, however sports massage and a rehabilitation programme can help speed up the recovery time.
Pre-event massage is designed to stimulate the patients muscles before an event or session. This type of treatment involves vigorous and stimulating techniques such as tapetoment. It is great at preparing an athlete mentally and physically before their performance. A pre-event massage can also be relaxing to help decrease the athletes nerves and stress levels.
Post-event treatment helps aid recovery by using long strokes to flush out waste products which help treat and prevent muscle soreness, fatigue and tightness. Passive stretching will help regain muscle resting length after an event or session.
